Hunting – How To Duck Hunt

homes Learning how to duck hunt can be great fun.  Where else can a grown man or woman get up at unheard of hours, dress in silly cloths, wade through mud and freezing water and still be considered sane?  Don’t be alarmed when you hear someone tell you that learning to duck hunt is expensive.  It doesn’t have to be.

1. Wear clothing that will blend in with your surroundings.  There are numerous manufacturers that make clothing with various camouflage prints on them.  Pick your favorite.  Make sure you have a coat, hat, two pairs of gloves and a face mask.  For a cheap alternative look for a cheap camouflage rain suit you can wear over an old coat.

juegos 2. Buy a good pair of waders that will also blend in with your surroundings.  You can use brown or green waders but ones with camouflage on them are best.  Depending on where you are going to hunt you may want to get heavily insulated waders for the north or light weight breathable waders for the south.  If you want to go cheap you could always hunt in fields or buy some cheap vinyl waders.

Real Estate Geese on land are much more likely to be eating and loafing/sleeping than when on the water and therefore the poses and molds must be different. The full body and shell decoys made for the land are perfect for the land spread. They come in a variety of head and body positions and do a great job of mimicking geese and they spend their time in the field. The problem with using these decoys on the water is that they obviously don’t float and therefore are only of goose use on the ground surrounding a water spread.

4. Buy a duck call.  Go to a sporting goods store and ask to try out various duck calls.  Each person is different and by trying them out you will find the one that is best suited for you.  Remember to practice with your duck call.  Check online for duck calling videos.

5. Scout where you are going to hunt.  The easiest way to get your limit of ducks is to be where the ducks want to be.  Look for places where ducks are already landing and notice how they are sitting on the water.  Set up there when you are ready to hunt and try to make your decoy spread look like the natural ducks you saw.
